MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Records second Mono press released, made and distributed by RCA Victor Records in Chile in 1961, catalog number 47-7908, with machine etched matrix numbers 47-7908-A R1 in Side A and 47-7908-B R1 in Side B, with traditional black/silver RCA Victor Records labels with 3-prong push-out center and colored dog logo. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Little Sister” was originally released in USA in 1961 and we didn’t have to wait much because the same year we could see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and play time of each song, with the price printed in Side A, “E° 1,26”. It’s interesting to notice a pair of facts which make this Chilean issue UNIQUE. If you know this single you could have already noticed that song “Little Sister” was the Side B of “(Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame” in original US issue but here in Chile the sides are inverted!!! And the song title “(Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame” is written in this Chilean issue “Marie’s The Name His Latest Flame”, without brackets!!! As far as I know, these characteristics can only be observed in this Chilean press. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans and collectors of Elvis Presley and/or early Rock’N’Roll music!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many soft scuffs and light hairlines, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in VG or VG+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with some spindle hole wear, tears caused for some stickers removed and some writings tried to be deleted, but they don’t affect the text, which’s clear and fully readable, with the push-out center removed. The sound is a nice surprise, it’s in strong EX- or even EX condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with very light constant crackles and some occasional and barely audible soft clicks here and there, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe it’s not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but this is still a great record in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS, with Spanish-written song titles, with a nice glossy look, clear and fully readable labels and great sound quality after about 61 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the label of rarity of this Chilean single, ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE, with “Little Sister” as Side A and “(Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame” as Side B and with song title written without brackets!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

 

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

GBP15 for weight until 0,5kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl/sleeve)

GBP25 for weight 0,5-1kg (usually 2 to 5 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl/sleeve)

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
