Collectors, here is Edison Diamond Disc record #52174, circa early 1928. Vernon Dalhart and Company (violinist, Carson Robison on guitar, and John Call on banjo) perform two tunes, the familiar "O! Dem Golden Slippers" and "My Carolina Home". Two great sides, nice duet singing from Mr. Dalhart and Mr. Robison, some harmonica and jaw harp, very enjoyable. "Slippers" was issued as Blue Amberol cylinder #5560, and "Carolina" as cylinder #5459. The record plays well with fairly limited surface noise. There are no edge chips, and the labels are attached firmly to the record. 1928 is very late in Diamond Disc Land, grab it before I decide to put it in my personal collection, reasonable price given what I have here, go for it!
