Collectors, here is Edison Diamond Disc record #52290, circa spring 1928. Two gospel songs from Ernest V. Stoneman and His Dixie Mountaineers: "He Was Nailed to the Cross for Me" and "When the Redeemed are Gathered In". Country flavored tunes, unnamed singers join Mr. Stoneman, a super duper listen. "Redeemed" was issued as Blue Amberol cylinder #5527, and "Cross" as cylinder #5536. The record plays well with fairly limited surface noise. There are minor edge chips, and the labels are firmly attached to the record. This was released about a year before the end of Diamond Disc land, very scarce record, if this is what you like and need do not pass it up!
