Monkees LP SCARCE Instant Replay 1969 First Press Colgems EX/ NM

One of the tougher Monkees titles to find.  There were no hits from the album, their selling power had definitely waned, and this album sold poorly.  The single, “Teardrop City,” was the only commercial offering to the charts, and even it was recorded back when they first started out in 1966!  It didn’t break the Top 40, making this album a hard-to-find item for Monkees collectors.

AND it’s in amazing condition!

Vinyl--- EX/ NM.  98% brand new shine.  Use a bright bulb to find the lightest angel hairs.  Gorgeous piece of vinyl.

Plates--- 1D/ 5S

Cover--- EX/ NM.  Looks like you just pulled the shrinkwrap off, with the exception of some slick crackling to the bottom spine.  Colors are bold and crisp.  Beautiful cover!

Labels--- NM.  Perfectly glossy 1969-new.

Inner Sleeve--- Issued in a plain white generic sleeve with no die-cut hole for the label to show through.  By 1969, Colgems had discontinued their company inner sleeves.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
