PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
BIG Status Quo lot on vinyl!
1) Live LP - first pressing on Capitol's orange label from 1977 with both original glossy printed inner sleeves!!! LP sides 1 & 2 are VG+/VG++ with a few light paper scuffs and sides 3 & 4 are a gorgeous VG++/NM-. Cover is VG+ with some light ring.
2) Piledriver LP - rare original Terre Haute gatefold first pressing from 1972 on A&M with original printed inner sleeve!!! LP is VG+/VG++ with a few light paper scuffs and cover is a nice VG with a bit of ring.
3) Messages From The Status Quo LP - VERY RARE original Don Holden mastered Indianapolis deep groove first pressing on Cadet from 1968 with original full color printed inner sleeve!!! LP is VG++ with a few barely visible paper scuffs. Cover is a nice VG with some light ring.
4) Thinking Of You 7" - RARE limited UK picture disc from November 22, 2004 on Universal in the original PVC sleeve with Something 'Bout You Baby I Like and Break The Rules on the B-side, barcoded hype sticker in the top right hand corner on the front and MADE IN ENGLAND import tag on the front as well!!! I bought this new at the Virgin Megastore (R.I.P.) here in Chicago 18 years ago(!) and filed it away in my personal collection until today. Even has the original blue circular Virgin import tag in the bottom right hand corner on the front and custom barcoded Virgin price sticker in the bottom right hand corner on the rear of the PVC sleeve. A pristine, unplayed copy with airtight provenance. You will not be disappointed.
5) You'll Come 'Round 7" - STILL SEALED UK pressing on a picture disc from 2004 on Universal in the original PVC sleeve with Lucinda on the B-side, barcoded hype sticker in the top right hand corner on the front and MADE IN ENGLAND import tag on the front as well!!! I bought this new at Virgin 18 years ago(!) as well and filed it away in my private collection until today when I took these pics. Also has the original Virgin import tag in the bottom right hand corner on the front and custom barcoded Virgin price sticker on the rear in the top right hand corner. Virgin used to seal most of their imports in-house in a loose-fitting cellophane after they were tagged and this one is no exception. Someone once accused me of having a record re-sealing machine of some kind so now I leave nothing to chance. A still sealed mint copy also with airtight provenance. This is what collecting is about so don't sleep Quo collectors. You will not be disappointed.
Buying every item in this collection individually would cost $20.00 in shipping ALONE so don't miss it.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
