Collectors, here is an amazing record, Victor Orthophonic 7 inch #223, circa 1933. This is one of three records recorded by Frank Luther and ensemble for chlidren: "Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin Songs" 5 and 6: "Buckingham Palace" and "Vespers". Mr. Luther gives a brief introduction and then sings the song. Please understand, this is 30 years before Disney bought the rights to Mr. Milne's books. I believe the first Pooh book came out in about 1926, so this is fairly new stuff when released. I would think not many parents were buying records for the children in 1933, the height of the depression! The record plays well with fairly minimal surface noise. I've never seen another one like this in 40+ years of collecting! Sensible buy it now price, if this interests you do not pass it up, go for it!!!
