1971 issue on US Family Productions FPS 2700.
This was Billy Joel’s solo debut and due to a mastering error, the album’s material was higher pitched than how it was recorded. In 1983, Cold Spring Harbor was remixed with overdubs and the speed was corrected. Following the debacle of the original issue, Billy Joel had signed with Columbia Record and that label issued the new version.
Record is near mint. Both labels have printed “D.J. Copy.”
