DR. FEELGOOD

SIDE A:     VIL SOSPECHA

                  (Sneakin' Suspicion)

SIDE B:     LUCES AFUERA

                  (Lights Out)

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original United Artists Records very first PROMOTIONAL Stereo press released by UA Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1977 by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), licensed from United Artists Music and Records Group Inc., USA, catalog number UP-36255, with hand etched matrix numbers UP-36255-A MSM-CD in Side A and UP-36255-B MSM-CD in Side B, with traditional cream/black UA Records labels and solid center. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact date of pressing, “20-7-77” (July 20th of 1977). Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Sneakin' Suspicion” was originally released in USA in 1977 and we got this single released here in Chile the same year. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and producers, with additional information of licenses and play time of each song. In Side A it’s the rounded IRT stamp “DISCO PROMOCIONAL – PROHIBIDA SU VENTA” (Promotional Record- Sale Forbidden). So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE single of Dr. Feelgood released in Chile with Promo stamp, a record almost never seen!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Dr. Feelgood and UK Pub/Blues Rock and R&B music of the ‘70’s!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with loads of scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, clear and clean, with only some spindle hole wear, some small faint blemishes and the stamp in both sides from the radio station which originally owned this copy. The sound is in great VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant and barely audible soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, more evident in the last seconds of each song, which don’t really cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this is not a record for Minty minds or audiophiles, but it’s also for sure it’s a record with still a nice look, clean labels and a great sound quality after about 45 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! And keep in mind this is a PROMO-STAMPED copy with Spanish-written song titles!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_____________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
