For sale is a vinyl record by Willie Colon & Ruben Blades titled "Siembra", originally released in 1978 by Fania Records with a gate-fold presentation. This record has the first palm tree variation on its labels , along with Series 0798 price code on the cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Sterling" and "I Gol", indicating that the record was mastered at Sterling Sound of New York City, New York before it was made at Goldisc Recording Products' pressing plant, located in Holbrook, New York. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, resulting in superior sound quality, sought after by collectors and music lovers. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the integrity of vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of some wrinkles. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of some ring wear, corner blunts and faint ink smudges on the front cover. The spine has some color loss at the corners from blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of faint sleeve marks and superficial hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this record as Very Good Plus because of occasional low level surface noise and pops, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. This is still one of the best copies of this record that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find a copy in this condition, especially an original Goldisc pressing. I have more Latin albums, as well as records of all genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
