Davy Graham & Alexis Korner - 3/4 AD

(Topic Records TOPIC 70 UK 7" EP 1962)

This is a UK 1st pressing 7" EP from 1962. This is the very earliest UK pressings which has a mauve coloured front sleeve. This colour changed on subsequent pressings.

The Picture Sleeve is printed on matt card. It has a rear flipback at the top & bottom of the rear sleeve. As stated, this is the earliest UK variation of the sleeve which has a mauve/ purple coloured front sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has cream coloured "Topic" labels. These are smooth. There is a period, early 1960's, "Mecolico" UK tax stamp on Side 2's label. Most original UK copies came with the "Mecolico" stamp. The record has 1st press -1/ -2 matrix stampers. The tracks are: Angi, Davy's Train Blues & 3/4 AD.

This is a genuine UK 1st pressing of this classic early 1960's UK Folk-Blues-Jazz EP. UK 1st pressings of this EP are very rare. Playback on this copy is very nice indeed too.

Sleeve: There is moderate to considerable rubbing wear to the top & bottom edges. There is some mild to moderate rubbing wear to the spine. There is moderate to considerable rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is an extremely small 0.5 cm seam split at the top & bottom sleeve opening corner tips. There is mild, very mild or more moderate ringwear. This sleeve is very prone to wear. This copy is okay. Overall, Very Good condition

Vinyl: There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are two light surface hairline marks. These measure 2 cm and 3 cm in length. Overall, Very Good minus condition. The labels are in Very Good+ condition. There is a very tiny initial on on Side 2's label. Otherwise, mild spindle wear.

I have fully play tested this 7" EP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.

I shall place the vinyl into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.
