Caravan: For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night

(Deram SDL-R 2 UK LP 1973)

This is a UK original LP pressing. It has a heavyweight front laminated gatefold sleeve. It comes with its original polythene lined "Decca" company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has smaller sized red & white "Deram" labels. The record has 1st press P-3U/ P-3U matrix stampers. A great early 1970's Melodic Prog Rock LP.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. There mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. The spine shows a mild to more moderate crease which runs vertically at the centre. There is some light, very mild or very minor rubbing wear on the bottom edges on a few areas. There is light, mild or very mild ringwear. Overall, Very Good condition

Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There is one very light 1.5 cm hairline surface rub mark at the start of Side 1. Very Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Good++ condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear. There is some light or very minor foxing on a few areas. This hardly notices. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in the background to a varying degree. This is only really noticeable in the quieter places. There are a couple of areas of more moderate crackle. This doesn't last too long. The crackle does not overpower the music in any place. There are no noticeable clicks or pops.

This LP would definitely benefit from a professional deep down groove clean. Any crackle, in the main, is just due to deep down dirt in the grooves. This LP would play, I believe, Excellent & better after a professional deep down groove clean.
