Original The Specials/Special AKA 1979 Self Titled Debut 12" LP Album Vinyl Record produced by Elvis Costello and released on 2 Tone Records. Sleeve in very good to excellent condition. Sadly the vinyl is only in fair condition with a lot of superficial marking. The Specials featuring Terry Hall, Neville Staples and Jerry Dammers from Coventry were at the forefront of the late 1970s, early 1980s 2 Tone ska revival movement. They originally split in 1984 but reformed in 2008 and a new line up remains active to the present day. The band have released nine studio albums since 1979. It reached number 4 in the UK album charts and spawned the hit singles A Message To You Rudy and Too Much Too Young, a live version of which went to number 1 in the UK singles charts. A classic album from a memorable musical and cultural movement of the late seventies, early eighties. Please note the vinyl is in worn well played condition.
