VICTOR JARA MANIFESTO CHILE SEPTEMBER 1973 VINYL LP.

The LP has been play tested and playback is excellent on both sides. Apart for the second last track on side 2 which has a very light, insignificant split second pop otherwise there is barely a crackle (even during the quiet parts, track run-in etc).

Throughout, the complete playback on both sides of the LP is perfect. The LP’s visual appraisal is also excellent. All the songs are written and performed by Victor Jara in Spanish. A few of the tracks are introduced or have explanatory interjections in English translation by Joan Jara and Adrian Mitchell. The interjections add to the enjoyment and understanding of the songs.

The artwork sleeve is in good condition although it has rubbing to the fore-edges and spine. The LP and sleeve are of the actual record for sale. They are not stock photographs.

Victor Jara was a Chilean political activist, revolutionary and singer, songwriter. His song were considered a threat to Pinochet’s fascist dictatorship. Victor Jara was tortured and murdered by Pinochet’s henchmen in the infamous stadium in Santiago where he was being held.
