Berliner Gramophone 7 Inch Record O411 "Old Black Joe" Haydn Quartet
Collectors, here is a very rare 7 inch 78rpm record, E Berliner Gramophone #O411. The famous Haydn Quartet sings an a cappella version of "Old Black Joe". The record plays fairly well, with some surface noise.
According to the "Collector's Guide to Victor Records", less than two million Berliner Gramophone records were made between 1894 and 1900. Perhaps 1% of the total survive, with most of these in institutions and libraries. The "O" prefix indicates that this record was issued after March 1899. Nearly impossible to find, a super duper record, if this interests you do not pass it up!
