8-Lot Bob Dylan PROMO 45’s VG to Excellent All 1960’s, Early ‘70’s All RARE!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Alphabetically speaking, the promo 45’s included are:

George Jackson (Big Band Version)/ George Jackson (Acoustic Version)

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve VG+.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG/ VG.  That doesn’t mean stomped on.  It means that the grooves are still in playable condition, some scratches are visible.  Playback will be a little noisy.  Virgin vinyl styrene.

Labels: VG+.  “1971” written in pen on both sides.

Plates: 1C/ 1C.

Highway 61 Revisited/ Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?

(I’m aware that an alternate version of the B-side exists on some of the promos, but I wouldn’t know it if I heard it.  Ask me again and I’ll tell you the same.)

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve VG.  A little water damaged.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG/ VG.  That doesn’t mean that Father had to fetch it off the roof two days later, when you finally told him.  It means that under a bare bulb, both sides have many angel hair scratches, none of which you’ll feel. Styrene pressing.

Labels: Excellent/ VG+.  One label has “1966” written in ballpoint.

Plates: 1F/ 1F.

I Threw It All Away/ Drifter’s Escape

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve Excellent.  Name and address stamped small on one side.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG+/ Excellent.  Knockin’ on NM’s door, but no one’s answering right now.  Beautiful styrene pressing.

Labels: NM/ NM.

Plates: 1E/ 1F.

Lay Lady Lay/ Peggy Day

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve Excellent.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: Excellent/ VG+. Several very light angel hairs on side 2.  Styrene pressing.

Labels: NM/ NM.

Plates: 1E/ 1E.

Leopard Skin Pill-Box Hat/ Most Likely You’ll Come Up with Another Really Long Title and I’ll Go Mine

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve VG

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG/ VG. That doesn’t mean buck teeth, bulging eyes and pimples on your goldfish.  It means that there is still plenty of shine on each side, with several very light angel hairs to balance it.

Labels: VG+/ VG+.  “67” written in ballpoint on one side.

Plates: 1C/ 1C.  Nice styrene pressing.

Positively 4th Street/ From a Buick 6

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve Excellent

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG+/ VG+.  Would be Excellent, except it’s not.

Labels: VG/ VG.  Light to moderate foxing on each side.

Plates: 1F/ 1F.  Styrene pressing.

Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You MONO/ STEREO

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG/ VG.  That doesn’t mean that your turntable will unplug itself and run for the toilet.  It means that both sides have a lot of very light, very short scratches, most of which will present themselves more easily under a bare bulb.  Playback will be a little noisy.

Labels: VG+/ VG.  Side 1 label has light to moderate dirtwear, not that bad.  Side 2 looks like a sticker was removed, which lifted a small area of label.

Plates: 1B/ 1B.  Styrene pressing.

Watching the River Flow MONO/ MONO

Sleeve:  Company Columbia Records Sleeve VG.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: VG+/ VG.  That doesn’t mean…oh screw it, maybe it does.  It’s the same version on both sides, so just play the A-side.

Labels: VG/ VG.  Side 1 label has “71” written in ballpoint.  Side 2 label has some sticker residue.

Plates: 1H/ 1J.  Virgin styrene pressing.

Very nice set of Dylan promo first pressings!  If you’re a collector, here’s a significant chunk of the work done for you.

NOTE: If you win the red vinyl Dylan promo for sale this week in addition to this lot, there will be no additional shipping charge.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
