The Beatles-Yesterday & Today-Mono Vinyl LP-Paste Over - 2nd State
This sought after Beatles album, "Yesterday and Today," features what appears to be the paste over cover, but we are not experts in this area and advise you to refer to the photos and description to make your own judgement. Besides some typical shelf wear and wear over the upper left Capital Records logo, the sleeve is in wonderful collectable condition. If that's not enough, the record itself is in AMAZING condition! Besides a few visible white marks on the vinyl, it is nearly flawless. We played the record on our vintage Kenwood, just to ensure quality, and there are no skips or slips on either side, and the playback is quite crisp and clean. This copy also includes the original inner sleeve, which remains in tact except for the small split on the bottom (shown in photos). This is a wonderful find for any Beatles collector or audiophile.
We take many additional photos of our items that aren't included in the listing, so if you have any questions or concerns after carefully reviewing the photos for details, PLEASE inquire before bidding. All of our auctions are sold as is, and we do our best to picture and describe each item. Thank you for looking, and happy bidding!
On May-16-23 at 19:09:56 PDT, seller added the following information:We took a few pictures in different lighting for you. It's been hard to capture, but in some shots, it does look like a slight image coming through, though it's difficult to tell. In some shots, there does appear to be darkness in the area where you should be able to see Ringo's turtleneck, but it doesn't necessarily look like a defined triangle. Oddly, the most notable area that we can see, is in the shot with what looks like a red smiley with 2 arrows. Between those arrows and the smile is what looks like 3 circles, and the other arrows is pointing to an undefined dark area. In another picture, an arrow is pointing to what looks like a dark triangle, but it isn't very defined as seen in many/ most Butcher paste overs. Again, we can't be sure, but we are liquidating this for an elderly man who had many Beatles albums, all purchased when they were released, so this has belonged to a single owner.
On May-16-23 at 19:11:35 PDT, seller added the following information:We did also notice that it appears that our client may have at some point possibly used an exacto across Paul, and also directly under John's bent knee, and there appears to be a thin bit of paste over Paul that goes across and then upward as well. The lower left corner shows a wrinkle in the cover though, so we're wondering if maybe it was a sloppy original paste, and knowing our client's nature, he tried to repair it. We didn't notice these things initially, so wanted to let you know and see. Please don't hesitate to inquire more.
