Originating from Vienna, Austria in 1967, the blues prog psych combo Novak's Kapelle were formed by drummer Erwin Novak. Infamous for their wild live performances, they only produced 2 singles at the end of the 60s—this is the 2nd, originally released on the Amadeo label in 1969. "Not Enough Poison" has a laid-back bluesy vibe, not entirely dissimilar to early solo Syd Barrett, or even '69 Floyd. "Smile Please" is more uptempo with busy drums and a killer guitar solo!
