ROBERTINO LORETTI

(Both Songs Sung In Italian)

SIDE A:     TORNA A SORRENTO

                  (Torna A Surriento)

SIDE B:     MAMMA

MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Fermata Records very first Mono press released by Producciones Fermata Marca Registrada (Fermata Records), made by RCA Records and distributed in Chile in 1962 by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. (CRC Records Chile), licensed from Triola Records, through Fermata Records, Brazil (Triola Series), catalog number F-45-2, with machine etched matrix numbers LT R1 (“LT” handwritten) in Side A and F-45-2-B LT R1 (“LT” handwritten) in Side B, with traditional white/black/red Fermata Records labels of the period and 3-prong push-out center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

The first to tell about this single is that as far as I know it was only released in Chile and includes in Side A the song “Torna A Surriento”, originally released as a 4-tracks EP by Robertino in Italy in 1961 and song “ Mamma”, originally released in 1961 too (with “Santa Lucia” as Side B). Song titles are written in a mix of Italian and Spanish (“Torna A Surriento” is translated in Spanish “Torna A Sorrento”, but “Torna A” is in Italian, it should be “Vuelve A Sorrento” -Come Back To Sorrento- and Mamma should be “Mamá”), with full credits for songwriters and the only additional information about the Triola Series and the Chilean tax law applicable, with original price, “E° 1,50”, printed in Side A. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE CHILEAN PRESS of this classic song by Italian singer Robertino Loretti, with Spanish-written song titles and ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE, a record rarely seen and maybe now auctioned here in eBay by the very first time. WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Robertino Loretti and Italian Pop/Schlager music!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with loads of scuffs and light hairlines and some very soft scratches, which don’t affect play at all, with the push-out center removed. Labels are in VG+ or EX- condition both sides, with some spindle hole wear and faint age browning and blemishes, without writings or marks of any kind. The sound is in strong VG or even VG+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant soft crackles and occasional light clicks here and there, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this single keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, maybe this record isn’t for Minty minds or audiophiles, but for sure it’s a MEGARARE and UNIQUE PRESS with still a nice look, clean and clear labels and great sound quality after about 61 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this single ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

__________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
