Two extremely rare 1951 Big Golden Records: “Six Songs from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland” Golden Records 1 (DBR 1) and 2 (DBR 2) produced in 1951. We have never seen any of these records for sale! A must-have for any Disney or Alice in Wonderland collector.
Record 1 (DBR1) Songs
All in a Golden Afternoon Alice in Wonderland The Caucus Race The Walrus and the Carpenter In a World of My Own I'm LateRecord 2 (DBR2) Songs
Very Good Advice Painting The Roses Red The Unbirthday Song AEIOU 'Twas Brillig How D'Ye Do and Shake HandsThese two records were copyrighted in 1951 by Walt Disney Productions and produced by The Sandpiper Press as the first in a series of eight records in what was described as “THE NEW 10-inch BIG GOLD RECORDS.” The record performers included many well-known names at the time, The Sandpiper Chorus and Mitchell Miller and Orchestra.
The sound on the recordings is very good except for a click/pop for a few seconds on one record. The record sleeves have definitely seen a good bit of wear. One side of DBR2 record has blue coloring around the label. A number of photos and a video were added so you can closely examine the condition of each of the records and sleeves.
