MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Fly Records second Stereo press released by Fly Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1972 by Philips Chilena S.A. (Philips Records), licensed from Fly Records, England, catalog number 2016 007, with hand etched matrix numbers in Side A and 2016-007-B- EB-CD in Side B, with traditional pale blue (?)/black Fly Records labels and solid center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

It’s very important to know that single “Get It On” by T.Rex was originally released in July 1971 in the UK and we had to wait until 1972 to see this great single released here in Chile and it had 2 pressings the first of them with the large center and the “standard” version with solid center, which’s the copy auctioned now. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for Marc Bolan as songwriter and for production, with additional information about licenses and play time of each song. It’s interesting to notice that in both labels it’s also informed the original UK catalog number, “BUG 10” and the most interesting fact it’s that song “There Was A Time”, the first song of Side B, it’s omitted in label but, of course, the song plays in the record. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE CHILEAN PRESS in this SECOND PRESS, a record rarely seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time, A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of T. Rex and Marc Bolan!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great VG or VG+ condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear and normal age browning, tears and writings, more evident in Side A, and faint blemishes. The sound is the best surprise, it’s in strong EX- or even EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some very light crackles, more evident in the first seconds of the song, and in VG or VG+ condition the Side B, with the soft crackles more evident, which don’t really cause major distraction from the still loud and clear sound this record still keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE SECOND CHILEAN PRESS of “Get It On” by T. Rex, with solid center, sure not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but still with a nice glossy look, fully readable labels and great sound quality after about 51 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean press!!! And keep in mind not only the solid center, it also has Spanish-written song titles and song “There Was A Time” in Side B it’s not credited!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
