RAVI SHANKAR –lot of 3 sitar  lp lps- 3 Ragas / India’s Master Musician / New York

Hello, you are bidding on 3 used stereo lps by sitar master RAVI SHANKAR.

LPs include:

1) THREE RAGAS – (1956)(World Pacific)  3 ragas

2) INDIA’S MASTER MUSICIAN – (1963)( World Pacific)  5 ragas

3) IN NEW YORK – (1968)( World Pacific)  3 ragas …(unplayed)

Musicians include:

Ravi Shankar: sitar

Chatur Lal: tabla on 1&2

Alla Rakha: tabla on 3

Pradjat Sen: tamboura on 1

Shyam But-Nagar: tamboura on 3

I have had these lps for a super-long time.  These are actually my doubles.  When I first bought these, I couldn’t remember if I had these or not, so I bought them anyways.  In the case of IN NEW YORK, the lp is actually unplayed & would be in super-mint condition.  The shrinkwrap was removed but it had a plastic album protector and the inside lp has a sealed plastic lp inner sleeve.

Condition of covers and lps:

1) THREE RAGAS:  Cover: gatefold cover, small seam split on upper right inside about 1 inch, small edge wear on upper right, rather spectacular shape, considerint its age, no other issues.  LP: no scuffs, no scratches, no skip.

2) INDIA’S MASTER MUSICIAN:  Cover: small seam split on upper right corner about 2.75 inches and on bottom about 1 inches, rather spectacular shape, considerint its age, no other issues.  LP: very light scuff on Side 2 (hardly noticeable), no scratches, no skip.

3) IN NEW YORK:  Cover: has had plastic sleeve protector on it this whole time in virtually perfect condition, no issues at all.  LP: unplayed & still in protected sealed inner lp sleeve.

I’ve been a huge Ravi Shankar fan for the longest time & have taken extremely good care of all of my Ravi Shankar lps.  I’ve seen him perform a number of times and he’s a true musician’s musician.  The high bidder also receives as a bonus, digital copies taken from these lps and in the case of New York, a digital copy was taken from my other copy of New York, 

Shipping: after the auction, I will mail you an invoice.  Buyers in the USA have an option of “cheaper/slower MEDIA MAIL at $4.50 or faster/more expensive FIRST CLASS at $21.00.  The rate for Canada is $37.00 and the rate for Europe, Australia, South America and Africa is $55.00.  I ship to most places with the exception of Israel & Middle East.  US Media Mail can take anywhere from 3 to 5 weeks for delivery, just to let you know not to be in a hurry for it.  APO/FPO is not eligible for Media and is sent First Class.
