This one is MINT / SEALED. Scott was from the Twin CIties. This album features Peter Ostroushko, US American violinist and mandolinist, born August 12, 1953 in Minnesota, died February 24th, 2021. Growing up in the Ukrainian community of northeast Minneapolis, the mandolin, balalaika and bandura tunes played by his father and family friends at get-togethers in their home and in church started him on mandolin. He was a regular on violin, mandolin and guitar for many years in the house band of Garrison Keillor's "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show.

Called “A legend in the Midwest” by the Winnipeg Folk Festival; a performer “Who can sing, really sing” by Diane Sawyer of ABC-TV; and whose songs are “Damn good and so are you” by Pete Seeger; Charlie Maguire may be as much in the tradition of photographer Robert Capa, as his own musical roots in the Woody Guthrie tradition. Capa said, “If your pictures are not good enough, you are not close enough.” Guthrie described his songwriting as being like “A photographer without a camera.” Like Capa and Guthrie, Charlie Maguire uses the same close-up methods for his subjects when he writes songs about them.

Welsh folk group formed in 1976. The 9-piece band celebrated their ‘silver anniversary’ in 2001 and have recorded 9 albums on the SAIN label, including two celebrated albums with Dafydd Iwan, which gave birth to the anthem ‘Yma o Hyd’, composed by Dafydd, and arranged and accompanied by Ar Log. AR LOG was the first Welsh folk band to become a full-time professional outfit, and their contribution to raise the profile of Welsh traditional music has been immense, travelling as they did to many countries on several continents.

Cris Williamson (born 1947) is an American feminist singer-songwriter and recording artist. She was a visible lesbian political activist, during an era when few who were unconnected to the lesbian community were aware of Gay and Lesbian issues. Williamson's music and insight have served as a catalyst for change in the creation of women-owned record companies in the 1970s. Using her musical talents, networking with other artists working in Women's music, and her willingness to represent those who did not yet feel safe in speaking for themselves, Williamson is credited by many in the LGBT community for her contributions, both artistically, and politically, and continues to be a role model for a younger generation hoping to address concerns and obtain recognition for achievements specific to people who have historically been ignored.

Hera Katene-Horvath: b 1912, d January 1987 Maori songwriter and singer. Katene-Horvath learned her composing skills from her father and from Sir Apirana Ngata. Throughout her long life, she was associated with many musical groups. Anna-Lisa Öst Profile: 18.10.1889 - 27.04.1974. Born Vikström in Mark, Vilhelmina, Sweden. Öst found salvation in 1908 and promised God to serve him. Her first recording were made in 1929 (or 1931, not yet confirmed). Her most famous tune were "Barnatro" (written by Ejnar Westling) which sold in over in hundreds of thousands copies.
