New LP, Polish release   

Andrzej Smolik - an outstanding Polish producer and Kev Fox - a British songwriter with a hypnotizing voice - join forces again. After the huge success of the first album "SMOLIK // KEV FOX" (2015) and the EP "Queen Of Hearts" (2017), the artist gives listeners the long-awaited second album  long-player titled "Belly Of The Whale". 

"Belly Of The Whale" is nine unique songs that lyrically and musically wink at the sounds of the 80s and 90s, and the artists themselves boldly talk about this album as a tribute to pop culture and the idols of their childhood. 

Electric melodies filled with Smolik's vintage synthesizers and Kev's moving voice take fans on a journey to the times of posters on wall units and recording favorite songs from the radio onto cassette tapes. 

- “Belly Of The Whale is a return to the times when we were children. Echoes of youthful fascinations shown from the perspective of what we are now. Organic and warm-sounding vintage synths, guitars and reverb machines meet contemporary music production tools” - says Andrzej Smolik.

 

“This album for me is about death and rebirth... Saying goodbye to the old and falling in love with the new. Songs for me are like old photographs - we remember what song was playing in the background when we had our first kiss or what song we danced to in the club. Or what music our parents played on long car journeys. We are made of these moments, both good and bad. This album is dedicated to everyone who has ever found themselves in the proverbial belly of the whale"- adds Kev Fox.
