READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles-Rel LP RARE! 1975 George Harrison Extra Texture Test Pressing w/ Data Sheet!

Superscarce album.  This is a test pressing that failed quality control at the Capitol factory.  There is a light to moderate heat warp to the vinyl that doesn’t show until you put it on the turntable.  It doesn’t affect play beyond a “whff” sound in the silent grooves.  Once the music starts, you don’t hear it at all, not even in the quiet passages.  And this album has a few of those.

Vinyl--- Apart from the heat warp, vinyl is Excellent.  Presents very well.

Plates--- Z23/ Z3.  Tested by Los Angeles.  Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.  Dead wax markings and font are identical to the Winchester first pressing dead wax.  See compere photos.

Cover--- VG+. Plain white cover.  Some dirtwear, NO SPLITS.

Data Release Sheet--- NM.  From the old Xeroxed method, this data release sheet has several very interesting in-house points of interest.

There was a correction made to the running time of “World of Stone.”

The brand new 1975 disclaimer, “All Rights Reserved” was stamped onto each side of the track listings one month before the disclaimer appeared on the October, 1975 Apple pressings, very possibly making this album the very first issue to include that disclaimer!

The album was mixed in July, 1975.

Labels--- VG+.  Light dirtwear, both sides.  Handwritten side numbers.  See photos.  Light spindle marks per side.

Inner Sleeve--- Generic white.

Man, I wouldn’t recommend giving this baby as a Christmas present unless you’re insane about your sweetheart Beatles collector.  I’d buy it for myself!  (Actually, I did several decades ago, and now I hate to sell it!)

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
