Collectors, here is a great disc, Sun 10 inch #45313, circa 1905. An unnamed military band performs the "Imperial Edward March". Nice arrangement and playing, a fine listen. The record's first 15 seconds are rough, then the record plays well with moderate surface noise.
According to one of Mr. Sutton's books, Sun was a record brand of the Leeds & Catlin Company of New York, along with Eagle, Imperial, and other names. They operated several plants in 1905, selling ten inch records for 75 cents. They were sued numerous times by Columbia and Victor for patent infringement, and the company went bankrupt in 1909. This is an extremely rare record, add it to your collection, go for it!!
