MC5 Kick Out The Jams '69 US Red Elektra Censored Liners/"Bros. & Sisters" VG/VG-
Cover: VG. Not too many issues with this, really. Seams are solid except for the left spine when the gatefold is opened and very bottom spines. Title spine is intact, just some (white) wear at the point of opening many times 50 years plus. Some paper loss at most corners. Top spines are very nice, bottom spines have lots of wear(including a seam split). Some ringwear- more pronounced on back sleeve than front(see photos).
No Sinclair liner notes.
Disc: Visually: G+ multiple scratches and heavy wear, however a lot of gloss is still present.
Audio: VG. Plays better than it looks.Side1 being the best of the 2 sides. Side 1 at the beginning needledrop has a noise level of 3 out of 10 (10 being the worst).Of course, if you've ever heard this record, it takes a lot of crackle to overwhelm the music on this record. And once it starts, you might hear a tick every once in a while during the music, so the crackle is almost irrelevant on Side 1.
Side 2 is more nuanced because there are two quieter parts in the second half. Beginning needledrop at beginning of Side 2 is a 4-5 out of 10 (10 being the worst). The aforementioned quiet parts happen in "I Want You" and "Starship". During "I Want You"-the quieter middle section has the noise level escalated to about a 6 out of 10 and "Starship" 's quieter section has the noise level at about 5 out of 10.Of course, the rest of this side's music also renders the crackle present a "non-event" as I noted on Side 1 earlier.
Censored intro on Side 1- "brothers and sisters" instead of "motherfxxx-ers".
