The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

(Parlophone PMC 7027 UK LP 1967)

This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks at the top edges. The sleeve is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". It comes with its original "Psychedelic" red & white inner sleeve. This is printed on paper. It has the "Patents Applied For" text. It comes with its original Cut-Out Insert. This is printed on thick card.

The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has yellow & black "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. The "KT" tax code is embossed around the spindle hole on Side 2. The record has 1st press XEX 637-1 and XEX 638-1 matrix numbers. The mother stampers are GTD 4 and GGA 3 respectively.

A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing complete with the Psychedelic Inner Sleeve & "cut-out" Insert. This are getting harder to find nowadays. I have some other rare & collectable UK original 1960's & 1970's Rock 7" Singles & LP's. This includes a rare "Let It Be" box set. Please see my other listings.

Gatefold Sleeve: There is mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable. There are three small & light laminate creases on the rear sleeve. There is a 5 cm area of mild rubbing wear at the centre of the spine. The laminate, in that area, has bee rubbed away. However, the spine text shows only light or very minor rubbing wear in that area. Otherwise, the spine is fine. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. This is mainly on the rear sleeve. Overall, a strong Very Good condition.

Vinyl: There are light, mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. There is a light 9 cm surface hairline surface rub mark on both Side 1 and Side 2. These are not that noticeable under a strong light. There are two very small hairline surface marks on Side 2. These measure 1 cm to 2 cm in length respectively. Overall, Good+ condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear only.

I have fully play tested this LP & it plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall, & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.

The card "cut-out" insert is in Near Excellent condition. It shows light or minimal wear. A name has been neatly written on the blank rear side.

The custom "Psychedelic" Inner Sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is a 10 cm seam split at the centre area of the bottom edge. There is light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. The album title has been neatly written on one side of the inner sleeve.

. I shall place the vinyl in a separate plain paper inner sleeve to protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during the shipping process.
