Hi! You are bidding on Craigie Dhu, an album by Scottish singer/songwriter and fiddler Dougie MacLean.  The album was released in 1983 on the Dunkeld label, catalog number DUN001.  The album is in very good plus condition.  There is a very light pop at the beginning of track one, side one; a light pop at the end of track four, side one; and a light pop at the end of track five, side two.  Other than those, the album is in clean condition.  The album jacket is in near mint condition for one that is over 40 years old.  The only thing keeping it from being mint is an autograph on the back, which has faded over the years.  It reads "Cheers Dougie MacLean".
This was MacLean's first album on his own Dunkeld label, which was financed by the success of his song "Caledonia", which was used in a Tennent's Lager advertisement.  This was also the first of MacLean's albums to feature the art work of his wife, Jenny, on the cover.
Dougie MacLean was a member of Puddock's Well. the Tannahill Weavers, and Silly Wizard, before embarking on a successful solo career.
Songs/tunes are:
SIDE ONE:
Gin I Were a Baron's Heir Ready for the Storm It Was a' for Our Rightfu' King High Flying Seagull Edmonton Airbus/Craigie Dhu
SIDE TWO:
Bonnie Bessie Logan Seanair's Song It Fascinates Me Tullochgorum Caledonia
This was the first album to highlight the MacLean sound, which was to be his trademark in many of his future albums.
Winning bidder to pay $4.87 media rate postage in the U.S.  Please e-mail with any questions.
