Monkees PROMO 45 & Picture Sleeve 1969 Good Clean Fun, EX Sleeve, NM Vinyl!

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

Sleeve: EX/EX.  SO close to a NM sleeve.  The only issue is that there are staple holes in the bottom corner.  See photos.  There’s also a very slight smudging of the red ink at the bottom, both sides.  VERY beautiful flat sleeve, razor-sharp!  NO SPLITS.

Photos of the sleeve at an angle are to accentuate the flaws.  Please look at them closely for better illustration of their conditions.

An Excellent Colgems Company sleeve will be provided to protect your picture sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: NM/NM.  Both sides are beautiful, bold and nearly unplayed-looking.  Full 100% vinyl shine!  I never use the term “Mint,” but in this case, I’m tempted to grade it “Stone Mint.”

Labels: EX/NM.  The only issue keeping the Side One label from a NM grading is a period stamp, however; this stamp proves the record’s provenance.

This promo was clearly issued to radio stations in advance of the 45’s release.  The release date of the commercial single was Sept. 6, 1969.  DJ stamp on the label is Aug. 25th.  Otherwise, these labels look as brand new-fresh as they did in 1969, the morning they came off the press!

Plates:   A1/A1.  Colgems promos were pressed in the US by RCA, and they retain all of the depth of sound quality of 1960’s RCA discs.

This is an incredible example of their rare promo 45 AND the rare sleeve!  Don’t piss yourself off by falling asleep at the switch.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
