The Beatles - Lot of 14 UK Original 1960's 7" Singles & EP's


This is an excellent collection of 14 UK original 1960's Parlophone & Apple 7" Singles & EP's. There are some less common variations in this collection. Including a contract pressing of "Hello Goodbye" and the very scarce "BuPr" printers credit variation of "The Beatles Hits" EP. The condition is generally very good to very good+. All the singles have been play tested too. Playback, also, is generally very reasonable too. I have graded, & play graded, each item individually below:


1. She Love You/ I'll Get You
(Parlophone R5055 UK 7" Single 1963
)

UK original pressing. It has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Parlophone Co..." and "Recording First..." texts. There is no "Sold in UK..." text. It has a company "MT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on the B-side. The record has 1st press 7XCE 17395-1N and 7XCE 17396-1N matrix numbers. It comes with its original company "Parlophone" paper sleeve.

Vinyl: There is a 2 cm surface rub mark on the A-side. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, a strong Very Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very decent audio copy.


2. I Want To Hold Your Hand/ This Boy

)

UK original pressing. It has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Parlophone Co..." and "Recording First..." texts. There is no "Sold in UK..." text. It has a company "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on the B-side. The record has 1st press 7XCE 17559-1N and 7XCE 17560-1N matrix numbers. It comes with its original company "Parlophone" paper sleeve.

Vinyl
: There are three very light hairline surface marks on the A-side. These measure from 1.5 cm to 2 cm in length. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, a strong Very Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good condition. There are two small tears at the die-cut centre area on the front. Otherwise, there is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good to Very Good+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.

UK original pressing. It has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Parlophone Co...", "Sold in UK..." and "Recording First..." texts. It comes with its original company "Parlophone" paper sleeve.

UK original pressing. It has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. There is a "KT" company tax code embossed around the spindle hole on the B-side label. The record has 1st press 7XCE 18341-1 and 7XCE 18342-1 matrix numbers. It comes with its original company "Parlophone" paper sleeve.

Vinyl: There is a mild 2 cm surface rub mark on the A-side. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Very Good+ condition. There is a very small initial, twice, on the B-side label. This hardly really notices. Otherwise, mild spindle wear. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

9. Strawberry Fields Forever/ Penny Lane
(Parlophone R5570 UK 7" Single 1967
)

UK original Picture Sleeve pressing. The Picture Sleeve is top-opening & is printed on matte paper. The top-opening edges have a die-cut wavy finish. There is a rear flipback at both side edges on the rear sleeve. The record has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a solid centre. The labels have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. There is a "KT" company tax code embossed around the spindle hole on the B-side label. The record has 1st press 7XCE 18415-1 and 7XCE 18416-2 matrix numbers.

Sleeve: There is a small number written neatly in pen in the top right corner area of the front sleeve (see photo). There are two very tiny 0.5 cm tears at the rear top opening edge. There is a more moderate crease in one corner tip area. Otherwise, there is light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good condition

Vinyl: There are mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear.

I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good overall. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in the background to a varying degree. This only really notices in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music. There are a couple of mild clicks on the A-side. Overall, a very serviceable audio copy.

)

UK original pressing. It is, I believe, a "Decca" Contract Pressing. It has black & silver "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Gramophone Co..." and "Sold in UK..." texts. There is no no company "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on the labels. The record has 1st press 7XCE 21185-1 and 7XCE 21186-1 matrix numbers. It comes with its original company "Parlophone" paper sleeve.

Vinyl: There is an extremely small circular area of more moderate surface rub marks, or surface scuff mark, on the A-side. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are a few areas of more moderate sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can also be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on a few areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good+ condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is a 12 cm seam split down one side only. There some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing.

)

UK original pressing. It has dark green "Apple" labels which have a 3 pronged centre. The labels have the "Sold in UK..." text.. The record has 1st press 7XCE 21185-1 and 7XCE 21186-1 matrix numbers. It comes with its original company plain white paper sleeve.

Vinyl: There is a very mild 2.5 cm hairline surface mark on the B-side. There is a very light 1 cm hairline surface mark on the A-side. There are some light, mild, very mild or more moderate  surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. The paper sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good minus condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company plain white paper sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

13. The Beatles Hits' (Parlophone GEP 8880 UK 7" EP 1963)

UK original 7" EP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. This is the rarest UK original sleeve variation. It has the "BuPr" printers credit on the rear sleeve. Most copies have the "Garrod & Lofthouse" credit. The "BuPr" printers credit, indicates, I believe, a genuine UK 1st pressing of this EP. The record has black & yellow "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Parlophone Co..." and "Recording First..." texts. There is no "Sold in UK..." text on the labels. There is a company "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on Side 2. The record has 1st press 7TCE 760-2N and 7TCE 761-1N matrix numbers.

Sleeve: There is a 6 cm and 3 cm crease at one corner tip area respectively. There is some very mild fading to the rear sleeve. There is mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable. There is a very small & feint number written neatly in one corner tip area on the front sleeve. This hardly really notices. There is some light mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good+ condition

Vinyl: There are two very small & very feint 2 cm hairline surface rub marks on Side 1. There are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There are a few more moderate sleeve rubs. or surface rub marks, too. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, a strong Very Good condition. The labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only.

I have fully play tested this 7" EP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very decent audio copy.


14. Twist & Shout (Parlophone GEP 8882 UK 7" EP 1963)

UK original 7" EP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which is printed by "Garrod & Lofthouse". The record has black & yellow "Parlophone" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have "The Parlophone Co..." and "Recording First..." texts. There is no "Sold in UK..." text on the labels. There is a company "KT" tax code embossed around the spindle hole on Side 2. The record has 1st press 7TCE 762-2N and 7TCE 763-1N matrix numbers.

Sleeve: There is mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is mild, very mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. This is not too noticeable. There is some mild fading to the rear sleeve. There is a small name written neatly on the rear sleeve too. There is a 5.5 cm crease in one corner tip area. There is some light mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There are no seam splits. Overall, Very Good condition

Vinyl: There is a 2 cm hairline surface rub mark on Side 1. There are light, mild or more moderate surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can only be seen under a strong light. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These can hardly be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good minus condition. The labels are in Excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only.

I have fully play tested this 7" EP. It plays Very Good overall. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in the background to a varying degree. There are a few areas of more moderate crackle too. This mainly notices in the quieter places. It never overpowers the music.


I shall place the records into a separate plain paper sleeve. This will protect the original sleeves from any damage during the shipping process.
