Two years ago, David Gilmour, the legend of Pink Floyd, embarked on a concert tour, which led him to select historical sites from around the world. As part of this tour, he gave a concert in 2016 to the amphytheatre of Pompeya, which was the first live action against the public, since the gladiator games in 79 years and Brit were the triumphant return to the city in 1971, the legendary concert film by Adrian Maben, Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii. i. In ancient Rome, the amphitheatre in Pompeya was known as Spetculum Gilmour now works with his long-term partner and master of colours to bring the show to the Scepculum.
On July 7 and 8, 2016 David Gilmour played these two sensational shows in the shadow of the Vesubio, 45 years after their first appearance in the Italian city of Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii. They were the first rock concerts at the former Roman seat, they built 90 years before Christ and 169 years later buried by the eruption of the Vesubio under the ashes. David Gilmour's Live at Pompeii, directed by Gavin Elder, has been shot in 4K and features highlights from both shows. The concert is an audiovisual experience, which includes a large circular screen of cycllorama, laser, pyrotechnic and fantastic actions of the Allstar band.
The film features songs from the entire career of legendary music, including songs from the title of its two most recent solo albums, Rattle That Lock and On An Island. In addition, the list of songs includes other soloist and classic pieces from Pink Floyd, such as Shipping
