Beatles 45 and Picture Sleeve 1970 Apple Let It Be-You Know My Name NM Vinyl!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
These picture sleeves always make great Christmas gifts for your Beatles collector if you find out which ones they’re missing. There are eight for sale this week.
Included are all first pressing 45’s in at least Excellent condition! Original price stamps or tags from the 60’s are still present on most, which I have always found very charming.
(Sorry about the grainy photos. It’s been cloudy all week.)
Picture Sleeve: EX. As collectors know too well, these glossy black sleeves were susceptible to all manner of wear and hiccups. This sleeve has just light record outdent, and not the first serration imprint from the record label.
NOT ONE.
Top of sleeve has a light amount of finger divots, but only concentrated to the top fifth of the sleeve. The rest of the sleeve looks beautiful. There are NO SMALL TEARS to the top of the sleeve, NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Definitely a collector’s keeper!
Price Sticker--- None on this one, sorry! There is a small inventory sticker on the back of the sleeve in the top right corner. Life, the Universe and Everything.
A Company Apple sleeve will be provided to protect your Picture Sleeve sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: NM/NM. Both sides look very close to store stock new! Maybe just a few tiny lines on the lead-in lip, but that’s all.
Labels: NM/NM. Beautiful full gloss. Side 2 label has the small Capitol logo at the bottom in the 5 O’clock position. Definitely first pressing. Beautiful labels.
**There’s a very good reason why this black gloss sleeve escaped the damage of the label serrations: there aren’t any. This is a gorgeous consignment pressing, whose lathes didn’t imprint Capitol’s serrations into the label platform. That’s what gave this sleeve its chance to retain its collector’s status condition.
Plates: Z8/Z10. “Bell Sound” and “sf” initials are present in the dead wax on both sides. None of Capitol’s insignias are present in the dead wax.
Given the lack of RCA’s letter “R” or Decca’s inserted letter into the plate numbers, my best guess is that Columbia Records must have pressed this disc.
You better should check your Beatles collector’s copy of this sleeve to see if it has the serration damage. If not, they’d love to have this one to unwrap, come Christmas Morning, I assure you.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
