The highly anticipated fourteenth album by legendary group The Cure is the band's first studio release in 16 years.
Tracks from the album were pre-launched during the 90-day 33-country 'Shows Of A Lost World' tour, during which the band played to over 1.3 million fans.
"Songs Of A Lost World" was entirely written and arranged by Smith. The artist produced and mixed the album together with Paul Corkett. The Cure recorded the album at Rockfield Studios in Wales, consisting of Robert Smith (guitar, 6-string bass, keyboards), Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums), Roger O’Donnell (keyboards), Reeves Gabrels (guitar).
Robert Smith created the cover concept, and longtime The Cure employee Andy Vella took up graphics and graphic design. The cover features 'Bagatelle', a 1975 sculpture by Janez Pirnat.
The Cure formed in 1978 and have sold over 30 million albums worldwide. The band has headlined Glastonbury four times. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. The Cure are considered one of the most influential British bands of all time.
