Grading Scale SealedJacket sealed shut in shrink wrap; disc sold ungraded or "as is".NMAppears unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches. This grade is reserved for records that are as close to mint as possible outside of shrink wrap. EXMay have one or two visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect play. VG++VG++ denotes an in-between grade that is higher than VG+ but lower than EX. The vinyl might have some very light visible surface wear and bear a few more minor, non-audible hairlines/scuffs. These imperfections will still require through inspection to notice them, and will only cover a small part of the record surface. VG++ records will be glossy with excellent luster.
VG+The visible imperfections on a VG+ record will be slightly more pronounced and higher in quantity than on an VG++ grade. These may include slightly more noticeable blemishes, sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks. 
VGThe same imperfections found on VG+ records but in greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. A VG record will typically retain a good amount of gloss and luster, but roughly half of its surface will be covered with visual blemishes. 
VG-A VG- record will be heavily marked by visible imperfections, including the presence of a considerable number of light and moderate scratches, patches of clearly visible scuffs, and the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
GPervasive imperfections of varying degrees including both light scratches and scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range. G graded records will play through without skips unless otherwise noted in the listing description.
