Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers-Moanin', Mono Blue Note 4003. Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, Bobby Timmons, Jymie Merritt, Art Blakey. Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio, New Jersey, 10/30/58. Labels & Dead Wax: The A-Side had the "New York,USA" label, the B-Side had the "47 West 63rd" label. I've seen this before. The switch was made in 1962 and apparently they had a backlog of B-Side labels, which they weren't going to throw away. This dates the pressing to around 1962. DG label and "RVG" stamp and inscribed "ear" on both sides of the dead wax.Sound Quality is fully intact and just superb (as you may expect from the most highly-regarded jazz label of them all). The cover is as close to mint as I have ever seen......covers are only mint the day you buy them at the store. No rips, tears, gouges....the 33 itself is damn near mint. I can't stress this enough - this is not a REISSUE!!!! it's the real deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
