The Grateful Dead – Aoxomoxoa
1st press 1A/1A on W7 label
Curious as to how much better the 1st press compared to the repress? Pick this one up on the cheap and find out! Hint: the 1st press version is head and shoulders above the reissue.
Vinyl: VG+ (play graded)
No skips or jumps; occasional background noise and some ticking in places but plays very well overall and sounds great. This was my player copy for many years but I recently scored a NM copy so I'm putting this one back in circulation.
Side 1: plays VG+ but gets marked down to VG on visual grade due to 2 smallish scratches. Has a scratch that ticks in the last part of 1st song and start of song 2 plus another small scratch that ticks in song 3.
Side 2: plays EX but gets marked down to VG+ on visual grade due to a few hairlines and scuffs
Jacket: VG-
Fairly rough but not blown out > small center seam and center spine splits, RW, heavy EW and edge chipping, writing, tape, 2 tears and some dried gum residue on back of jacket.
Inner Sleeve: Original paper inner sleeve
Grading Scale:
Mint | Near Mint | Excellent | Very Good + | Very Good | Good/Good Plus | Poor/Fair
All records are visually graded in strong natural sunlight. Play graded records will be noted. I grade, conservatively, by Goldmine standards but I occasionally add +/- to indicate slight deviation. Please find a detailed breakdown of individual grades listed far below.

Jacket grading notes:
I do my best to note imperfections but please always examine the pictures closely as these pictures are always of the actual item you will receive. Feel free to request additional pictures or ask questions to clarify.
Shipping:
This auction is for US buyers only. I do not ship internationally.
I ship in recycled record mailers with cardboard stiffeners and a tracking number via USPS Media Mail. I recycle these from my own record purchases. I will remove the records from jackets for shipping upon request. I am willing to ship via alternate methods so long as you pay the cost of shipping. Insurance can also be added at additional cost if requested. I generally ship within 3 days of an auction closing. Records under $10 may ship in a reinforced cardboard sandwich with sufficient padding and stiffeners.
About me:
I am first an avid music collector and have been collecting records and music for many years. My collection is way too big and full of things I have duplicates of or will never listen to; it is time to thin it out. I do not sell on eBay as a profession. I try to be very conservative in my grading, I have been burned in the past by lousy grading and I refuse to do business that way. My goal is to find a good home for these records, and ultimately your satisfaction. I am happy to answer any questions or send additional pictures. Good luck!
Vinyl Grading Details:
M: Mint is a very seldom used grade and solely reserved for new, un-played and perfect vinyl. Records meeting this grade are either sealed or exceptionally clean and blemish free.
NM: This vinyl is like new but may have been carefully played a limited amount of times. NM records should play nearly perfect with almost no noise. This record may show a few very faint imperfections from paper scuffs or tiny needle marks but nothing significant or audible.
EX: This record is close to NM with the exception of a few light needle marks, a few light surface scuffs, and/or lightly audible marks. A very nice used record and enjoyable listen.
VG+: This grade has no feel-able scratches and will definitely play through with no skips or jumps. Occasional light surface noise may be present but it is never overpowering; a good playing copy.
VG: A record that still has gloss but will have lots of small scratches, scuffs or some light groove wear. This record grade may have light surface noise throughout but should still play through without skips. Pops, ticks, and light distortion/sibilance may be present. VG is not a junk grade but it’s obviously a notch or two below collector grade.
VG- to G: I generally don’t sell this grade unless it is still worth offering due to its rarity.
