Rare and very difficult-to-find debut album from the obscure Quebec singer-songwriter-guitarist Mario Chagnon, known simply as Toyo in the local entertainment circle.

 

Great adult contemporary pop-rock with solid arragements .....in the style of fellow Quebec icon Roch Voisine....Toyo had initially accompanied several local artists, eventually recording 3 solo albums (all now long out-of-print), before teaming up with former Offenbach guitarist John McGale to form the (also short-lived) duo McGale & Toyo (recording the now highly sought after "Symbiose" album in '94).

 

Guitariste qui a longtemps accompagné Claude Dubois, Mario (Toyo) Chagnon s'est associé à John McGale (Offenbach) le temps d'un album intitulé Symbiose et qui a connu un certain succès.    Les chansons Bella Maria et Angelie ont valu les premières places du palmarès au duo appelé alors .
Peu de personnes savent que "Toyo" a aussi produit 3 albums rares en solo avant cette aventure avec McGale (un sur vinyle, les 2 autre en disque compacte)......la musique mettant beaucoup sur les guitares et les arrangements de facture pop-rock très années 80.
