For sale we offer this nice lot of albums from one of Rock N Roll's greatest all time artists. FRank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention have probably inspired as many if not more artists than the Beatles, Rolling Stones, or others. These came from a smoking estate but Albums were stored in outer sleeves (these do not come with the LP's since they have yellowed) Since Grading is subjective we use a low to high possible to cover the bases. You will almost find the low grade to highest potential grade to allow for this subjectivity. One graders VG++ may be another EX- and we strongly urge you to use the first grade so as not to be disappointed. The albums and conditions are as follows:
The Mothers Of Invention - Freak Out- This is a double album. Vinyl has been play graded and there is a youtube sample below so you can hear for yourself. I sampled the sections that visually looked like there might be an issues. I play grade this VG but it's visually a VG-. The sleeves are original but splitting the Gate fold cover grades G/VG- shows above average wear, there is loss of graphic and the inside shows moisture damage. Also there are taped splits on tops and bottoms on both sides of the cover. That said this is a First Stereo Pressing as witnessed by the inside blurb about Planning on visiting L.A. favorites places square. It's a shame the previous owner's didn't take better care but it's still a playable and must own  if you're a true Zappa fan. Vinyl has some snap, crackle, and pop but it is still a decent listening experience.
Frank Zappa - Frank Zappa's 200 Motels - Vinyl grades VG/VG+ . Plain white sleeves are yellowing and have some tearing at the center ring. Gate fold cover is VG-/VG Light ring wear and bright graphics but has a split and more that look about to start. Album Comes with both the original booklet and movie poster which aren't always with this LP when you find it.
The Mothers Of Invention - Weasels Ripped My Flesh -  Vinyl VG-/VG plays without skipping but has some crackle and pop. Original Sleeve has bottom splitting started. Cover grades VG-/VG While the front graphic is nice the upper left corner has top and spine split. Edge wear is more than would be expected and there's a circle around one song title. Not the most perfect lot but still a decent way to get your Zappa on! Here's the youtube link for the Freak Out Play Grading so you can see for yourself if you agree or not. I just played it through then picked where it looked it's worse so there are some abrupt starts and stops.

Most people will tell you a dealer knows a little bit about a lot of things. We don't want to do anything that could change an item in a way that would be undesirable to the eventual owner. Some people like an aged look or patina and others want items to look as if they were just made and that decision isn't ours to make. We specialize in acquisition not restorations. Also in so far as smoking concerns go we can make no judgement. If the estate was obviously a smoking home we disclose it but we're immune to the smell of smoke so PLEASE keep that in mind while bidding.
