At one point The Clash were called "the Only Band That Matters" and even now, nearly 30 years after their last album, that's still the god's honest truth.
Justin Beever and Milly Ciris have nothing on these guys.
This is their debut album, even though it was their second album released in the USA. Apparently the marketing geeks at the label didn't think their music was friendly enough. Idiots.
This is the original 1979
American release of the 1977 Clash album (JE 36060)
Grading: (Poor, Good, Very Good, Excellent, Near Mint, Mint)
Jacket - VG: There is some corner wear, spine wear, and minor ring wear on the back, but overall the cover is in much better than average condition (no seam separations or dings or tears at all) Sleeve - N/A - but it is one of those anti-static plastic lined sleeves, so good there, right?
Vinyl - EX: Very nice shape - no scratches or warping, good shine, and only minimal surface wear and plays without noise or skips or trouble. After all, this album has been on the turntable more than a few times.
A
note about grading: I do my best to be as honest and objective as
possible for all cosmetic evaluation, but obviously opinions differ. My
VG might be your NM and some other dude's G, and when in doubt I'll go
for the lower rating. However, I do make sure to confirm the vinyl play
grading by putting each disc on the turntable and listening to it. And
trust me, that part is fun.
I am the original owner of this album.
