Steppeulvene "Hip" LP   (Still one of the coolest covers I have ever seen!!!!)

Label : Metronome BP 7701  A/B 1  UK Pressing!!!!

Extremly Rare UK pressing of steppeulvene´s first and only Album from 1967. 

The UK pressing is seriously rare as the lyrics were in danish so only VERY few were pressed for sale in the UK.

Label states "made in England" and back of cover has "MADE AND PRINTED BY PRESS & POST LTD. U.K"  

Steppeulvene (Danish for the Steppenwolfs) became an icon to the danish "hippie scene" being the first group which did a psych/beat rock LP with danish lyrics only 

The group was a result of a collaboration between lead singer : 

Eik Skaløe who had traveled in the Orient in the early 60s and wrote the Bob Dylan-inspired highly symbolic 

and almost surreal lyrics and Stig Møller who wrote the drawling psychedelic folk influenced music.

The groups name was taken from the novel Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse.
