In the wake of these legendary broadcasts the Beatles crashed the Billboard charts in spectacular fashion. By April 1964 the Beatles occupied all 5 top slots in the US Billboard Charts, a feat which has never been equalled; this record is the lasting proof of their greatness.

The US shows were elevated by the presence of the adoring audience which spurred on the group to a new level of performance. The energy and vitality of these brilliant US shows, which were broadcast live to a record 73 million American homes, outshines every other TV or radio recording by the Beatles. The fact that the shows were all recorded by leading US broadcast technicians using state of the art equipment and microphones gives these sessions pride of place as the best of the surviving Beatles live recordings.
