Jimi hendrix. Electric ladyland. Polydor records.2310269/2657 012. Both records also have the above matrix in the dead wax but also have the original 613008/9 Track records' stampers present but scratched out. This suggests that these are the original surplus 'Track' records pressings simply re-labeled with the orange polydor labels after Track records sold out to them,clearly being pressed from the original track records glass master. This pressing is the earliest 1972/3 pressing. All 4 sides of this beautifuly clean vinyl show the 613008/9 matrix in the dead wax.
All 4 sides are in beautiful clean condition and barely played.Both vinyls are easily graded as 'excellent' by rare record collectors guide standards.The vinyls are a nice thick heavyweight pressing and lay perfectly flat on my rega planer 3 glass turntable. There is virtualy no background noise,not even in quiet passages. The sound is loud,clear and a joy to behold.
The fully laminated cover is in excellent condition with just the very slightest of ringwear only just visible and with just 2 minor opening creases to the front of the cover and one small opening crease to the rear. The spine is clear and retains its shape with just slight laminate lift to the middle of the rear part of the spine.The inside gatefold is simply in stunning condition with a just pressed shop fresh high gloss shine and perfect laminate.There is vitualy no wear at all. It is simply beautiful.I sincerly doubt that you will find a better copy of this uncredibly rare 1st polydor/Track pressing from the early 1970s. Everything about this pressing just oozes quality. I have tried to justify my description with some quality photographs of the records,labels,matrixes and cover.I am starting at a fair starting price for a rarity of this quality as this is only a 3 day listing.
