Big Life/Tommy Boy (DLSLP 1) 1989 Original pressing !
Vinyl visually inspected under strong light shows no problems at all. Vinyl is very clean and very shiny. No scratches, and only a few light surface marks here and there that will not affect playback. This LP has been played a few times, but it is still looking really good. Very well looked after slab of vinyl. Original single disc pressing too....which, i remember at the time, being criticised for not being a double vinyl as it's quite a long album - so the pressing is pretty quiet.
Outer sleeve in very good condition.....but does show a few signs of wear, which is to be expected from an album of this age. Nothing serious, though. A bit of light scuffing along top edge, slight wear on bottom edge just down one corner. Spine has creasing, which is most noticeable on the back cover. Some corner wear all 4 corners, some wear along opening edge of sleeve as well. When held up to the light, you can see a price sticker removal too...but fortunately, this hasn't lifted any of the artwork or caused any tearing or anything nasty like that. I've attempted to highlight all the areas of the sleeve mentioned above, so you can make your own mind up. Nothing nasty on the sleeve, though....just some wear that you might expect from a 26 year old album !!
Inner sleeve is in great condition. Black and white printed, with a brilliant cartoon/comic strip. A bit of light creasing, but nothing to be concerned about.
So, to sum up....really nice condition vinyl, sleeve showing signs of wear/general age (but nothing too serious) inner sleeve looking just fine.
A really collectable original pressing of an absolutely classic hip hop album !
