Rare 1966 South African first MONO press LP of The Beatles’ Rubber
Soul (PMCJ 1267), pressed on the alternate/new black Parlophone label.
The sleeve is in great condition, VG++. One of the best copies you will find, sleeve-wise for this LP. The front is flawless ; very clear, perfect spine ; nice seams. The back is very white and vivid in its pictures, except for some blurry ring-wear. Overall, VG+ very close to an EX - one of the best you'll get from SA!
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition, which is a revelation! I have not seen better for this vinyl! Barely a mark (maybe a few max each side) under bright and normal day inspection. The LP shines vividly with that black gloss! The labels are immaculate with no defect on the print or spindle hole, a sign that this copy may have been handled a very few times. Overall rating for the vinyl = EX.
A great addition for 60’s vinyl music and especially Beatles’ collectors worldwide and a seldom find in very respectable condition indeed.
