Up for auction here is a very rare LOT of Robbie Basho items, priced to sell. Please read description carefully!
First, we have an original LP copy of Visions of the Country (circa. 1978) hand signed by Robbie himself. The record cover is framed in a repurposed (acid free backing paper affixed to the mat where the mat touches the edge of the LP cover) frame for display. The cover is mounted to the mat within the frame using a product called linen hinging tape. This tape is specially designed to mount artwork without harming the piece itself. It can be carefully removed if necessary, without damaging the piece. It is 100% archival and will not discolor the piece over time either. I've also placed a sheet of acid free cardstock behind the cover in the frame so that BOTH sides of the album cover are free from exposure to acidic properties within the frame.
Because of the thickness of the cover within the frame, I had to mount the piece with linen hinging tape all the way around. It is normally ideal to only mount the top of an art piece with the tape so that the piece can "breath" within the mat/frame over time. The buyer can easily disassemble the frame with the screwdriver and remove the extra tape around the frame if so desired. Although, given that this is a thick cardboard album cover and not thin paper more subject to buckling, it will likely not matter that it's mounted all the way around.
Another reason I mounted it all the way around was to be sure it didn't slip within the frame during transit. If at any point the buyer wants to add a different mat, etc., the LP cover can easily be removed from the frame.
The frame itself is quality, heavy duty brushed metal with a hanger already attached. It's ready for immediate hanging/display.
The LP is stored outside of the cover in a separate mobile fidelity sound lab poly sleeve and cardboard outer sleeve. This can either be framed separately or played on a turntable. The cover and LP both show significant wear, but will present beautifully. The vinyl plays with noise. My understanding is that it will play through fine but will be noisy. It's likely that Robbie signed this LP for a personal friend who loved the record and played it all of the time.
I was unable to photograph the front cover since I framed this a while back, but it does show some where and light water damage. In this case, you don't see the front of the piece anyway, so it's not critical. Although the cover is not in pristine condition, structurally it is fine, with no tears or seam splits.
Please note: The LP did not come with the original paper insert.
The second item in this LOT is a vintage and rare Windham Hill promo photo of Basho. This glossy photo is an original from the late '70s/early '80s and NOT a modern reprint. It has a gig date written on the back (photographed), which does not show through to the front. The photo, as can be seen from the photos, is in great shape! This item by itself is worth anywhere from $10-20.
As a thank you, I'm including a copy of the 2013 CD reissue (now OOP) of Visions of the Country at no extra cost.
This LOT is priced to sell.
Please note: I will ship these items at the lowest possible rate and as carefully as possible. Please contact me after agreeing to purchase before actually completing the order, so that I can get an exact shipping quote for you. Because of the size and weight, I can't get an advanced quote. The amount I listed for shipping ($15) is a guesstimate. If for some reason you cannot follow through with the order after receiving the final shipping quote from me, no problem. We'll simply cancel the order.

Thanks for looking!
