   For sale is Donovan's Sunshine Superman, originally released in 1966 by Epic Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers 1-E/1-E, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17, then immediately put the record into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve that came with it, though not original, is graded as VG+ because of small tears at the top opening and some wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG because of corner blunts, ring wear and staining on the back cover along with a small amount of ink pen writing. The spine has a little color loss at one corner from a blunt corner. The vinyl is visually graded as G+ because of sleeve marks and surface scratches.  It's play-graded as Good because of crackling surface noise, more noticeable during the quiet sections but not over-powering the music. This is still a very listenable record with no skips and I think you would be hard pressed to find a first edition in any condition. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
