Nawari is a reggae artist from Mali (or Burkina?) whose only ‘80s album has become sought after for featuring a very cool disco-not-disco leftfield reggae tune and some more interesting songs. Besides that album he released a 7 inch as well, towards the end of the eighties. The b-side is a cool disco inspired Manding tune which erupts into a huge break with percussion and synth licks about 2 minutes into the song. A highly obscure yet exciting eighties nugget to add to your record box - you’re almost guaranteed to being the only one to play this out!
