Atco 228012. Matrixes: A//1 / B//1
Sleeve: exc. –faint ringwear, hairline creases (esp along spine edge – see pic), grubby line along open end where laminate has shrunk back, some corner wear. Otherwise decent, still sturdy cover, with legible lettering along spine. Poly lined inner
Vinyl: exc. – 50 years old and oft played the album has undergone some wear. Light scratches and marks particularly noticeable on side 1 tracks 2 & 3, side 2 tracks 1 & 6, but otherwise clean and undamaged record. Plays very well considering age and usage. Tends to be a fair bit of surface noise at start of each side, settling down to clarity and only occasional crackles through most of play. Marks/scratches on side 1 were not noticeable during play. The scratch on track 1, side 2 is audible at points on the track – combining with surface noise as described. The one on final track not noticeable even though it’s a quiet track. Was quite surprised, myself, how well it played.
Excellent compilation of material largely drawn from 1st 2 Buffalo Springfield albums containing most of their best-known tracks.
