PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

MEGA rare Elektra butterfly PRC (Recording Company - Richmond, IN) label suffix pressing from 197?   Not much is known about this particular pressing and as a result the date is unclear (even in Discogs!).  What's even more perplexing is that this copy has the SRC (Specialty Records Corporation - Olyphant, PA) logo stamped in the dead wax on BOTH sides!  I have owned one later Elektra red label pressing with both but NEVER an original butterfly label.  I asked a few trusted veteran collector colleagues of mine about this one and best we could come up with was that the PRC stampers were most likely sent out on loan to the Specialty plant at some point and the logos were added upon arrival prior to use.  Hence the lack of official info.  In all my 40+ years of collecting I have never seen this variant before.  Rare as hens teeth.  Auction also includes a 45 of The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Louis Clark playing the Queen Collection (a medley of Queen tracks) on the A side & Bohemian Rhapsody on the B side!!  You've never heard Queen played like this before.  Mind blowing stuff.  Night At The Opera LP is a beautiful VG++ and cover is VG++ as well.  You will not be disappointed.  Bonus 45 is a gorgeous VG++/NM- and cover is VG+ with just a hint of ring.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:   MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
