Up for sale is a RARE Beatles album released in 1969, this is an original pressing of "Abbey Road". The Beatles' 12th studio album and the last one to be recorded as most of the "Let It Be" sessions had already concluded prior. Like all British first pressings of "Abbey Road", this album comes in a fully laminated sleeve with the iconic picture of the Beatles crossing the street. Some pressings feature a misaligned Apple logo on the backside but this one features the aligned Apple logo. This album cover also excludes the song "Her Majesty" from the track list as well as from the disc label itself. What makes this album even more rare, is that it features a sticker on the label from E.M.I. records that reads, "Factory Sample Not For Sale". These stickers are very hard to find on original Beatles albums as there were not many albums set aside to be factory samples. Also included is the original inner sleeve.

Condition: I do not have a player so I unfortunately cannot play-test any of the albums for sale. I will try to the best of my abilities to describe any and all issues that each LP may have.
"Abbey Road" : The disc has some condition issues. There is some form of white discoloration, about a third of an inch wide by four inches long, that covers the beginning of the opening track on both sides. More prominent on Side one. There are hairlines throughout as well as a good amount of scratches more defined than hairlines. I do not think that this disc will play through without a few skips. Probably not your ideal listening copy and more of a collector copy for the fact that it is a first pressing and it features the rare "Factory Sample" sticker. The labels have nice color, someone wrote their name in ink pen on both sides. Some wear near the spindle hole on both sides as well as a few marks. The cover is in decent shape. There is some discoloration, probably from some kind of moisture contact in the past, on the bottom right corner as well as on the bottom of the back side of the cover. There is a crease on the lower left corner of the front side and a less defined on on the top left corner. The lower left corner is also slightly creased. Someone wrote a small check mark over the song "Oh Darling" on the track listing on the back side of the cover in red ink. There is some seam and corner wear, slight ring wear. The spine is partially legible, there is a 4 inch split in the middle of the spine. The inner sleeve has some discoloration from age, a large seam split on the bottom seam, about 5 inches, and someone wrote a message in pen on the sleeve. Also some paper fraying to the opening edge.

I will ship albums with records (in plain paper sleeves) outside of the album cover to prevent damage during transit. If the album comes with an original inner sleeve, it will be placed behind the album cover within its plastic outer sleeve. Any kind of inserts will be inside the album cover. I always ship albums in plastic outer sleeves with new plain white inner sleeves.
